Our congregation gathers for worship at 8:30am (with communion), 10:30am, and 12pm (Contemporary Bilingual/Bilingue) on Sundays.
We delight in having children worship with us, and we offer opportunities for youth and children to participate in the leadership of our services. For parents who desire it for their little ones, Children's Programming is provided during the 10:30 service.
The United Methodist Church of the Rockaways is a family friendly congregation, our church is located across from Parks Lake, right near the center of Rockaway Borough. For more than 175 years, our church has been bringing people to Christ, helping disciples grow, and sharing the love of Jesus.
We support missions, both locally and globally. In addition to ongoing support of the Rockaway Food Closet, we have been coordinating the "Back to School" backpack program for needy children in Rockaway Borough schools.
We welcome families with young children in our worship services. During our 10:30 worship service we provide both nursery care and children's programming. Parents are free to take advantage of these opportunities, or to have their little ones worship with the family.
We look forward to having you visit with us one Sunday morning as we worship together.

“The United Methodist Church of the Rockaways is a community growing together in faith, reaching out with God’s love. We celebrate our radical hospitality by embracing the gift of diversity in our world. We welcome full inclusion of ALL people in the life and ministries of our church; by affirming ALL people are of sacred worth and loved by God. We welcome people of ALL ages, races, ethnicities, nationalities, genders, physical & mental abilities/qualities, social/economic statuses, family make ups, or religious backgrounds. Because of the current official policy of The United Methodist Church, we feel it is important to state a welcome to those of all sexual orientations and gender identities—You are welcome here. God loves you just the way you are; and so do we.”
